There was a motor vehicle crash on the Richardson Highway near Salcha, on Monday. This happened at mile 332. In this crash, one person was found dead.

As per the information from the Alaska Department of Public Safety, this accident involved a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle. The accident took place around 6:25 a.m.

Alaska State Trooper Dispatch stated that a four-door sedan crashed into a southbound commercial vehicle, without stopping at a stop sign. In this accident, 42-year-old Temitayo Iyanu Kalejaiye was confirmed dead at the scene. The near ones of the deceased have been informed by the authorities.

On the other hand, Black Gold Transport informed the sources that the Ore Hauler involved in the accident was used to transport ore between Manh Choh and Kinross Fort Knox.

Kinross has released a statement on social media, that they are devastated about the crash, and offered condolences to those involved in the accident.
