There is a new judge appointed to deal with the case of trial for three former SAPD officers, who were accused of shooting and killing a woman on the Southwest side.
Judge Ron Rangel is the new judge, who will be taking over this case.
While Alfred Flores and Eleazar Alejandro are facing murder charges, Nathaniel Villalobos is charged with aggravated assault on Melissa Perez in June of 2023.
The officers’ attorneys were concerned about the way the case was being dealt with by the judge Stephanie Boyd.
